One of the first weddings that I filmed was for a marine who came back home to get married before being deployed to Afghanistan after 911. Seeing the tears of the groom’s mother when playing the finished wedding video for her really brought home the importance of my work. Wedding videography is truly the preserver of important family memories. The satisfaction of telling wedding stories and getting to meet new people on what is one of the happiest days of their life adds to my enjoyment.
My commercial and corporate video production interest developed from a background in science, quality assurance and teaching. Technical presentations led me to develop skills in video production and the areas of digital communication technology. Personal communication skills help me work effectively with non-actors. Getting non-actors to relax and be comfortable on camera is critical for filming sincere testimonials and product demonstrations. Besides being generally more cost and time effective than bringing in outside talent, involving either your employees or customers also increases their enthusiasm for your company. You decide on the level of my involvement. I can handle just the cameras, lighting, and audio to supply you with raw footage or I can be responsible for full production and editing. A first consultation on your options is always free of charge and obligation.
While my self marketing efforts primarily target southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois, I am open to traveling for commercial video productions and destination wedding videography work. And yes, closeness to family in southern Ohio and northeastern Tennessee can influence my travel willingness and pricing – as does the opportunity to enjoy some potentially good fishing.
